Man I really wasn’t gonna talk about this but… I mean it’s just too much.
So this whole thing started with a simple contract. Garbage collection in Greater Noida. Just trash pickup, right? But then… boom — ₹241 crore. Bro. For garbage. That’s like… wild.
And now, it’s not even happening properly. The whole thing’s stuck because people are saying GNIDA — that’s the authority there — kept changing the rules. Like one day the rules are this, next day they’re like nope sorry, now you need more money, or wait you can’t bid unless this and that. What?? 😂
I don’t even know who’s making these changes but it’s sketchy. Feels like they were lowkey helping someone. You know that feeling? When stuff just… starts looking sus? Yeah.
Then outta nowhere — court gets involved.
High Court steps in and goes “Yo stop everything.”
GNIDA can’t give the contract to anyone now. Court wants answers. They got 2 weeks to explain why the heck they were doing all this weird tender gymnastics. 😭
Now I’m just thinking…
Why is it always like this? Big money tender — somebody tries to sneak through backdoor. Small contractors probably saw the notice, got excited, and then boom — criteria changed.
“Oops, you don’t qualify anymore lol.” Like bruh give people a fair chance?
And let’s not forget the actual trash in this whole mess.
Like legit, trash. It’s monsoon season. Rain, stink, open drains. You pause garbage work now and people are gonna start gagging outside their own houses.
Not even joking.
I talked to a guy in Noida West who literally said:
“Bhai bas koi theek se safai kar de. Tender kisko mila kisko nahi, mujhe kya. Bas road saaf ho.”
And yeah, I felt that.
Also… ₹241 crore is public money bro. From us. Like taxes. If even a small part of that ends up going sideways — that’s painful. That’s like 10 lakh school books gone. Or 5000 free medical kits. Gone. Wiped.
I don’t even know who’s watching these tenders. Or caring.
TL;DR for lazy people like me
– GNIDA floated huge ₹241 crore contract
– Rules kept changing — weirdly
– Some bidders said it felt shady
– High Court jumped in and said “pause”
– Garbage might pile up while this court stuff plays out
– Public money involved. Again.
